Hi! I’m KaoruEmi! I’ve been sewing plushies since 2002 after I came across the lovely plush making UFO Catcher BBS Community way back when. My main focus is plushies of humanoid anime and video game characters but I also make plushies of creatures. I also do some drawing and sketching.
Most of my influence and inspiration comes from anime, video games, and other “cute” series like “Sumikko Gurashi” for more simplistic creature plushies. My drawing style is influenced by Takeuchi Naoko, Tanemura Arina, Watsuki Nobuhiro and the artwork of the Bokujou Monogatari (Harvest Moon) games.
Favorite plush-making materials: Velour, Blizzard Fleece, Faux Suede, Minky (basically anything that doesn’t fray)
Music to craft/draw to: Arashi, Gensou Suikoden music, video game soundtracks
